Jürgen Vedie named Chief Operating Officer (COO) for windeln.de AG
Munich, June 15, 2016 – The Supervisory Board of windeln.de AG has appointed Jürgen Vedie (46) as its Chief Operating Officer. He will take office on 1 July 2016.
During his tenure at zooplus AG, most recently as a member of the Management Board, Jürgen Vedie has made a significant contribution to the successful and sustainable increase in sales and profitability of the company since 2012. Under his leadership, the establishment and expansion of the international logistics network in particular were successfully implemented. In addition, he has achieved significant efficiency gains in logistics as well as sustainable savings in purchasing. During this time, Zooplus grew from 250 to 740 million euros in annual sales and at the same time BECAME POSITIVE EBIT.
Before zooplus, Jürgen Vedie worked for 10 years in various functions at the WMF Group, most recently as Managing Director of a subsidiary. Prior to that, he studied transport management and logistics at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences.
